Inpsiriational Song: Outside Looking In

The inspiring song I chose to make a blog entry about today is by Jordan Pruitt. It is called “Outside Looking In” and I think the message prove clears that this song was written by Jordan about the struggles of fitting in. It has the inspiring message that more teenagers today should listen to. You do not need to judge someone before you get to know them. It is crazy the number of teenagers today that judge someone by their appearance and do not get to know the inside of a person. Jordan said writing the song came naturally, because she had experienced being left out in school. I chose this as an inspirational song to sing, because I want my music to have an inspiring and positive message. This is my first ever time posting a video for everyone to see and I hope that people enjoy it. I want to share my passion for singing with the world and I feel like this is my first step to being closer to my goal. If you get anything out of me covering this song, let it be that before you judge someone; get to know them by their inner beauty. That is what counts and in the end you could have a friend that you never expected. Do not leave someone on the “Outside Looking In”.

The Girl Everyone Doubted.

“To be someone’s inspiration is my biggest goal in life.” These were words spoken by the inspiration behind my first blog post, Demi Lovato. Demi Lovato is the one of the girls that I idolize in the music industry that keeps me inspired and makes me realize that I can be anything I want to be. Thanks to her, I have not given up on my dream to be a singer and she continues to inspire me everyday with how strong she is. At one point in her career last year, she became depressed and felt all of the pressure of the fame that she had gained. She cut herself, starved herself, and felt the pressure to fit into the image that Hollywood molds into the minds of every celebrity. She knew exactly what she needed to do in order to get back to the Demi that was always there on the inside. She stayed at the hospital for a few weeks, and once she was cleared, she went to rehab and is now back making music. She became an inspiration to me. I have seen her twice in concert and have watched her and picked up on things that I can use to help me. If I had the chance to meet her, I would tell her that her biggest goal in life was completed, because she is my inspiration and continues to inspire me everyday. “Never be ashamed of your problems, your body, yourself. You are worth life.” These words that Demi spoke are the reason I have grown more self confident. I hang on to every word she says. Ever since I first saw her and heard her sing, I have fallen in love with her personality and everything she is. If my passion for singing and making music allows me to meet her one day, or just by luck and chance it happens. I will tell her one thing, “I love you and thank you, Demi”. Everyone doubted her, because she had flaws. Her flaws make her real and I will always love her for exactly that.
